Add new line with old number

I’ve been with Verizon for over 10 years and currently have the old unlimited plan. I was considering switching to the new plan but there doesn’t seem to be any deals where I can switch over and possibly get a newer iphone for free or discounted without having to add a new line. Im not currently paying off an old phone or on any sort of payment agreement so I’m free to cancel. My question is, can I somehow switch to the new plan with my old number and still get the iphone for free deal?

I don’t want to switch to a new carrier but I’ve been looking at some of their deals and it seems like being a new customer comes with better perks than staying on with Verizon. They’ll even let me keep my number so I’m confused on why Verizon doesn’t help out loyal customers.

Thanks for the reply but it’s not exactly an answer to my question.
I’m currently looking at switching to T-Mobile since I’d get the iPhone 14 for free with an agreement as a new customer. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like switching plans and upgrading phones gives me any deals that can beat that.
