Hi, my son went to the Wireless Zone in Easton Md to get a new phone. They are a Verizon authorized store. He picked out his phone and they started the phone transfer without saying “hey it’s a $70.00 dollar charge for us to transfer your phone is that ok” he was there until it was closings time then handed him both phones to leave with because it was still transferring his information and then they handed him a bill for the taxes and for the transfer. I called Wireless Zone asked them about the charge and I was informed that all phones that are purchased from them has this charge. And no refund would be provided because that is the normal charge, what is really getting me is that it wasn’t said before them starting the transfer. I feel that they are representing the Verizon name and I have been very loyal to this brand even though there are cheaper options available. I did contact Verizon Wireless customer service and was told pretty much that the authorized dealers can do what they want and charge what they want but still representing the Verizon brand. I would like to know who I can further contact about this problem.
Thank you,
Linda
