IPC4100 goes to black screen frequently.

One of my two recently installed Fios One Minis frequently goes to a black screen (or black screen with reloading icon) frequently. Neither the other FiOS One Mini nor the FiOS One ever do it. Have replaced the FiOS One mini , the coax cable from wall to box, tried power cycling the box, the reboot device and Fix FiOS TV issues menu choices without success.

Original installation was 3/19/24 and replacement set top box on 4/16.

If it hasn't already been done, swap the two minis.

If the problem stays with the set top box, replace it again.

If the problem stays at the position/room, then something else is up.

There is a chance that there is a problem with the cable inside of the wall...specifically the way that the cable was terminated at one or both ends.

Other things to check for include:

. Splitters with unterminated taps.

. Defective splitters.

Lastly, the main 4100 could have a defective tuner. Minis are not free-standing units as they do not contain tuner circuitry. They utilize one of multiple tuners inside the main STB.
