I keep getting different answers, which one is it?
Anuenue76, I'm gad you were able to take adavantage of a promotion My sister is always bugging me about new ones, so she can get a new device, and happy you got some new devices there for your account. Understanding the details of the promotion is imporant, and happy to share something that will help out.
Device Deals FAQ: https://www.verizon.com/sales/digital/tradeinstatus.html
The FAQ I shared has details for all our different kind of equipment deals You can review the one which matches with your devices. For all the options, if there is a plan equipment (like using Unlimited Ultimate) those do need to remain the active plan on the line which is getting an equipment discount. You can review the different FAQ sections to confirm this for sure.
Glad I could help share this link!

The surefire way to know would be to read all the fine print on the agreement you have with Verizon regarding the phones. However, from what I've read in these forums, if you leave a 36 month agreement early, all the credits will stop, and depending on whether or not you were asked to pay for the phones upfront before the credits started - you will also have to pay the remaining balance due on the phones immediately if you didn't pay for them at the start of the deal. And you can't change your mind and go back onto the deal if you exit.
