Can one change the Community display name?

If so, how?

Edit Profile does not seem to give me the option. Nor does Settings.

Hi mdoehnert,

To change your community username, please go to your Settings by clicking on your avatar at the top right of this page. You should see the option to change your username under the Personal tab. When you change your username, your password will be automatically reset and you will receive an email with a link to regain access to your account. The link will be valid for 30 minutes.

If you have any problems, please contact any moderator on duty via Private Message.

I don’t see any options to change the community user name.

OK I did as suggested and it came up "that username is already being used" or something close to that. Of course it is that's what I had. So how do I get back to my original username? I know this to be the issue as another user whom I know had their username changed also. I'll open a new thread if need be.
