I ordered a phone over a month ago, free Pixel 8 if I start a new line. The phone was on back order but was supposed to ship by June 7th. The phone was for my kid's 12th birthday on June 12th so I was OK with that and waited.
Flash forward to June 8th, the phone still hasn't shipped so I used the Chat feature through the app and they said there was a delay and they would ship it on the 12th. I told them I was disappointed as it was supposed to be a birthday present, but I would wait.
Flash forward to today, the phone STILL hasn't shipped. I contacted via text again and they said they would escalate the issue and I would have to wait another five days for an answer. Then they told me I could cancel my current order and order it again and it would ship today! They said the original deal was not available but I would get $500 off the phone ($800 full price). I said if they have a phone to ship now just send it to me under the original order. They can't do that, they said. Then they told me I would not be getting the original order!
This is beyond frustrating! @verizon you really need to get on top of this and make it right!
