I just switched my family plan from Tmobile to Verizon for 2 months. Before I switched to Verizon, I went to Verizon's coverage map and checked for LTE/5G/5G Ultra coverage for my address. Verizon coverage map shows good coverage for both LTE/5G/5G Ultra. When I received my iPhone 15 Plus, the phone only showed 1 bar for 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time is NO bar or NO signal. I observed multiple problems with this. One, Calls don't work. People call me but I don't see it. When I call other people, sometimes it works and sometimes it fails. - Two, Text messages delay. A lot of my apps require two-way authentication. When these Apps send me texts, it takes randomly from 1 - 10 minutes for the text message to arrive. I have to toggle the airplane mode for my phone to reconnect to Verizon to get the text.
I called Verizon technical support. They asked me to enable Wi-Fi Calling which I had enabled but Wifi calling won't work. Somehow Wifi Call won't route the calls to Wifi. Verizon ended up asking me to purchase an LTE Signal Extender for $250. Verizon, Is it fair to treat your customer like this?
