Lost power yesterday for about 9 hours and now my set top box is blinking green/red. Is a new box needed?
Try powering down the STB for a few minutes and then plug it back in. See if that makes a difference.

If it is a VMS 4100, Fios One box it is in the process of downloading a firmware update.
I believe it is vms 4100, but it’s now not been working for over a day and half

You may need to call support and have them push the update through.
