Adding on to Travel Pass vs. International Plan

I understand that Travel Pass takes precedence over a short term International Plan... so if your domestic plan already has a Travel Pass option, what would be the point of adding an International plan? I saw mention that having both is a good idea, but how does that work if the Travel Pass always kicks in first? thank you

Don't quote me completely on the pricing, but Travel Pass is billed by the day at $10/day. The monthly international plan is $100/month, so it depends on how you plan to use your device while overseas. There are still a lot of loopholes in Verizon's international service plans no matter which option you choose where many things aren't covered, so if you plan to be on your device a lot while outside of the US, best thing is unlocked device with a local SIM card.
