As of the end of Q1 2024, Verizon has chosen to turn off vtext.com which holds messages to that afdrrsd between the hours of 10pm CT and 7pm CT. At the end of that window, verizon delivers all held text messages at once. Their explanation it was due to spam filtering during those hours. This is a complete DISSERVICE to the community and those of us that rely on after hours text messaging for our jobs. If Verizon wants to help, they need to allow the customer an option to turn these off and also provide text blocking. They should not be holding ANY of my communications at any time without my consent. I have spent dozens of hours over the past few months troubleshooting as they blame the issue on my device. After learning of the spam filter explanation, I asked for it to be turned back on and was promised a fix and a follow up call. Upon the follow up call I learned the "engineers" proceeded to close the ticket, posting in the case an irrelevant resolution saying the network and delivery time was operating in normal range (aka delivery within minutes). This has been a ridiculous amount of work to get a phone provider to provide the service they are paid for. If anyone has discovered a workaround or the right words to convince Verizon to turn it back on. Please post.
