I received an email from Verizon back in January stating that the ACP discount would be discontinued and I would get the 20$ from Verizon Forward. ACP has ended but the forward discount has not been applied to my account. Please see the copy paste from that email below:
"Funding for the ACP is expected to run out in a few months, which means the program will end unless Congress approves additional funding. If the program ends, you will no longer receive the ACP monthly discount of up to $30 on your internet service. However, Verizon will still provide a discount of up to $20 a month with the Verizon Forward program, which helps provide affordable access to high quality internet service. As long as you remain a Verizon customer, there’s no action for you to take to receive the Verizon Forward discount, even if the ACP ends. "
I called and (with great effort) got through to support with very broken English who did not understand me and claimed I had to buy a special package/plan to get the forward discount, and live chat was no more helpful instead being VERY insistent on selling me mobile service or upgrading my router and giving me a new "deal".
What gives? How am I supposed to get this resolved? This was supposed to be seamless and require no action on my part.....
