Block VMS1100 from my PC

I was recently forced to upgrade my set top box to a VMS1100. During the install it put a folder on my PC. I don't want the set top box to have access to my PC, so I'd like to block it. If I knew the IP address I could use the Windows firewall. Does anyone know the IP? Any other ideas? Thanks very much in advance.

The VMS1100 has no reason to access your computer. It has to have access to the router, but not the computer or any other device on the network besides other Fios boxes. This is the first time I've heard of this. maybe someone else here has a better idea of why it did, but that's unheard of to me.

Did you try simply deleting the folder? I've never heard of that before.

Yes, I deleted the folder. I just don't want it to happen again. Also, if it can write to my PC, it can read from it too.

I found the IP address of the set top box in my router settings and blocked it, but it's dynamic and could change when I reboot the router or STB. I'll have to keep an eye on that.

To be honest, I wasn't paying complete attention when I installed it. I know I gave it my network password, and I may have had file sharing enabled. Thanks for trying to help.
