What is the purpose of a dual SIM phone? I recently switched back to Verizon after trying another carrier because my wife wasn't getting any service while at her job. Now that we are back with Verizon, I don't have very good signal at my job. I went and got a prepaid SIM to use as backup data when I'm in weak signal zones, and my phone won't let me use it (saying my phone is network locked) even though I've set it as the secondary SIM and Verizon's SIM is still the primary. So I'm not understanding what the purpose of offering Dual SIM services is if Verizon isn't going to allow a SIM from another even when it's set as the secondary SIM and Verizon service is still on the phone! Nobody needs 2 SIMs on the same carrier.... that's just pointless! I called customer service and they understood my situation and told me that tech support would help me then transferred me. After an HOUR with tech support they said that they had to transfer me to a higher level of tech support but assured me that I would be taken care... ya, disconnected on the transfer so I got to start all over again. 2nd person said they would make sure tech support was on the line before they hung up and ASSURED me that tech support would be able to work around my network lock. Sat on hold for 30 minutes before getting automatically returned to the automated system... so had to start over AGAIN. 3rd time I demanded tier 2 tech support immediately as I was sick and tired of repeating myself and apparently nobody that i talked to was making any notes on my account. Finally got tier 2 tech support, who said they had to fill out an appeal because I haven't had the phone 60 days yet. My appeal was denied. Wasted 2 hours that day with reps that promised that due to my situation I would be taken care of. Terrible customer service and sincerely ready to go back to my previous carrier.
