My screen is shattered, black and unresponsive. Is it possible to do a phone to phone transfer if the old screen cannot be used? I've tried connecting to a computer and it didn't work.
You might be able to use the restore options if the phone was backed up by Google, but I don't recall if you need to do anything on the old phone as part of the restore process.
If the old phone was backed up to Google Drive (if scheduled backups were turned on) then there is nothing needed on the old phone, you can restore from that backup when setting up the new phone.
Sorry to read that your device's screen is not working. Did you have all your information backed up on a cloud service? ~Peter
Sorry to hear that. If the screen is shattered and you cannot use the screen, then no. You would need to enable the transfer options on the old phone.
If the phone can’t be unlocked, direct transfer usually fails. Maybe try anytrans , it’s designed for phone-to-phone transfers via computer.
