Unlock phone fo international travel

I just upgraded my phone last Sep 23. I read that Verizon will automatically unlock the ohone after 60 days. Is there a way I can unlock the phone before that for international trip? I will be leaving on Nov 5 and was hoping to use a local sim once I get there. Thanks.

Hey there, navydoc, thanks for checking in regarding our SIM lock policy. We can definitely understand the importance of staying in touch while traveling abroad. With regard to your phone, it will unlock after the 60 days, we would be unable to lock unlock the phone prior to that time frame passing. Check out additional info here: https://vz.to/36QZWt4.
