No one can hear me on calls

I have an iPhone 15. Nobody can hear me on calls. It’s been happening for the last 4 months. I’ve been to Verizon 15 times, chatted with Verizon numerous times, chatted with apple and still not fixed. They have replaced my eSIM, sent me 2 new phones, factory reset, network reset, restarted numerous times and still nobody can hear me. My son has the same phone and lives in the same house with no problems. It happens at home, on the road, at work, everywhere. I use this phone for my business and I have lost numerous clients because I can’t communicate with them and that’s money lost for me. Do you know how frustrating it is for me to repeat something 5 times and then them hang up on me because they think I’m not there? Verizon still takes every penny for the bill every month and I can’t even use my phone for phone calls. I’M FRUSTRATED.

This is definitely odd. Does your device have any signs or physical or water damage? Does this happen while connected to Wi-Fi? What app are you using to make calls?

My phone is brand new so no damage. It happens with WiFi with cellular everywhere I go. I’m not using an app just regular cell phone calling. It doesn’t matter if I call them or they call me. Microphone works great in voice memos, with recording, etc. so it’s not the microphone 🫤

I should add that it has happened on my original cell phone and both new replacement phones they’ve sent me.

Has anyone at Verizon tried reprovisioning your account?

I don't know if this has been tried, but making sure VoLTE is turned on, because as far as I know, Verizon still uses the LTE side of the network for voice calls:

Go to Settings
Select Cellular or Mobile Data
Select Cellular Data Options or Mobile Data Options
Select Voice & Data
Tap the VoLTE toggle to turn it on

I got that from Google, and maybe it refers only to older iPhones. If this option is no longer there in the settings, try switching your network setting to "5G Auto" or "LTE" to see if that improves the call quality.

Mine says off and Primary and that’s the only options in cellular data. My son has the same phone and he can change his but I don’t have that option. Seems funny that we both have the same exact phone but mines doesn’t say the same thing.

thank you for the suggestion. I’m going to ask Verizon why I can’t choose one of those options.

If VoLTE is off on your phone, you definitely need to turn it on. What is your network setting? If you change the network setting to "LTE" (so the phone only uses LTE), can you enable VoLTE then?

Hello, Beyondfrustrated2222. Having access to your calls and having the ability to hear them is a must. Help is here. I know this may seem like a weird question but do you currently have a case on the phone? If yes, which type of case do you have? Have you tested the phone calls with the case off?

Yes I have taken it off and it’s still the same. I have a walli case. I also disconnect my AirPods and tried.

I have been experiencing this same problem for months as well. I have an Android phone. It happens for 9/10 calls that are longer than 2 minutes. One single time my audio has resolved for the other person after waiting.

It happens at home with WiFi, at work, on the road, everywhere I go. I did find out that it’s when I have my phone on speaker phone. It’s really odd that all 3 phones are doing the Same thing. How can the speaker be messed up on my old phone and both new phones I’ve been sent? I can record a voice memo or a video with my camera and they both work fine. Someone help me, it’s driving me crazy.

Did you ever manage to turn on the VoLTE option on your phone? Or change the network band selection to either "5G Auto" or "LTE", because I think the newer Verizon iPhones are set to "5G Standalone" (?) - I don't have an iPhone, so don't know what the new 4th network setting is, but if the phone is only using 5G, then voice calls aren't going to work because those are still going through LTE. I've read somewhere else that iPhones are supposed to switch back to LTE mode when a call is in progress, but yours isn't doing it for whatever reason.

Verizon is a sorry excuse for a business. I’m tired of paying a bill every month and my phone doesn’t work. As soon as me, my family and friends get our phones paid off we’re all switching. Verizon can’t even resolve an issue. This has been going on for months. I’ve even convinced a few co workers to switch. Verizon I’m coming after your business. I’m going to post on all social media and tell every single person I talk to about how terrible this company is.

I was also promised a free WiFi booster that was never sent. I guess that was a ploy to shut me up for awhile. Disgusting the way this company treats their customers.

Do ya’ll EVER read the previous post????? I have said what’s wrong numerous times. I’m not explaining it all AGAIN!!! That’s exactly what I’m talking about y’all are terrible and don’t care at all. Good grief!!!!!!

Thanks for getting back to us. To confirm, callers are not able to hear you at all on any call, is that correct? Were you able to use calls in the past? As far as a factory reset, were you able to test your phone after the reset but prior to restoring your infomration?

This has started happening at my house. we have the same problem on the iPhone and the s23. only when we are at the house. we can hear them just fine. the audio on the other side is in and out every second. Any help would be appreciated

We definitely want your callers to be able to hear you clearly, especially at home, Joey26. There are a number of factors outside of our control that can impact coverage indoors, even if things were working previously. I am glad to hear that this is only happening indoors at your home, because we do offer solutions to help improve your indoor coverage. The best one is Wi-Fi calling. see this. It sounds like the same issue many of us are experiencing. Verizon has yet to take action to resolve it.
