I've been a Verizon Customer for over 20 years. 2 weeks ago, I went from having a "family plan" to my own account with 1 line. The first rep I spoke with promised me that with my "Loyalty Discount" , Auto pay, Paperless billing as well as "other discounts", my $90 unlimited plan would cost me the same as I've been paying, about $61/month after taxes and fees. I said I was still seeing $96 bill due on line. .he said "after a few days it'll change down to the $61 after the discounts take effect". I asked him to please put that in the notes for future reference which he said that he did. I waited almost a week and didn't see a change so I called back. The new Representative said that I was on the $90 plan and that the charges were "Valid"! He said there were NO notes in my record. He said that he could apply a $10 credit and that HE could get my bill to $61/month after the first bill. I asked HIM to put that in the notes and waited for it to take effect, which never happened. TODAY I was on a CHAT for over 4 HOURS. After I explained what happened, HE said the initial charges were VALID and there was nothing that could be done about my first bill due Nov 15th for $86. At this point, I was so frustrated that I said I was ready to switch to T Mobile since all I expected was what I was promised. He worked on my bill a bit, was able to find a $4 Loyalty Discount and said he could get my bill to $67/month BUT the first bill was still going to be $86. I said that was unacceptable since I was lied to in order to get me to sign up for the $90 plan in the FIRST place since I was told after discounts it would be $61/month! I'd be fine with $67 but NOT paying $86 for my first bill. I'm asking for another $20 credit for my first bill to get them all to $67/month after taxes/fees. If nothing else, I should get a credit for spending 4 hours on a CHAT plus 2 phone calls that were an hour each and got lied to. I feel at this point so unappreciated by Verizon, after more than 2 decades, to lose me for $20? If I don't hear back from someone and get treated the way I feel I deserve, T-Mobile? $45/month? Here I come. . .my phone is paid for, I'm outta here. . .
