When we upgraded to Ultimate for one month for international travel we were told we could get an iphone 16 for free. I specifically told the agent we were going back to the Welcome plan in 30 days and was told the free phone was for all plans on 10/30/24. It was a lie! I went to change back to Welcome and it said I would lose the monthly credit that made the phone free. So now I must pay $900 more over 36 months to keep the iphone. That is not free. Also they have not issued me the $300 ecard that they said we would get. Disappointed and not feeling there is any recourse. They conned us.

Wow. If you were on the phone with someone when you first worked out the phone deal, I'm wondering if it's because you were talking to someone overseas and they didn't understand everything or else were poorly trained. That's still pretty sad. Anytime I've seen a promotion, it's almost always been tied to the Unlimited Ultimate plan. There are a few promos here and there where being on Unlimited Plus might work, but not many.

Guessing it's now past the 30 day return window where you could have returned the new phone if you were willing to pay the restocking fee and possibly get out of the contract.

As for the gift card, that was likely tied to the phone deal as well, and when you went back to Unlimited Welcome it voided everything.
