Motion Blurry

Hi. My Fios Motorola set-top boxes were just replaced with Fios One (small) set-top boxes. While the picture quality is enhanced, I get motion blurring when watching sports on most of the channels. The worst occurs on FOX and ESPN channels (all of them). ABC, NBC and CBS are fine except when they are are supporting another broadcaster like ABC does with ESPN. I have two relatively new OLED TVs (Samsung and LG). I have made adjustments that have improved the situation a little. Note that the motion blurring only occurs during live action and not during slow motion replays.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you got the Fios one 4100 series boxes try changing the video output on the boxes to 1080:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Video Format

The Fios box may be upscaling the programming to 4K and isn't as good as your TV at it.

Hi. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it does not help me. Since posting, I found out that I have a 4100ATV series box. This series does not have the Settings path that you provided. Can you provide another solution?

Not sure but if you go to the settings gear, then to Android TV settings>Device Preferences>Display and sound, There may be something there to set the resolution. Also might be in Android TV settings>Advanced settings. I don't have an ATV box, so I'm not able to see all the menu options. Also make sure HDR is off in the menu options.

Again, thanks for your suggestions. Under Android TV settings>Device Preferences>Display and sound, there is only one display choice which is to turn the gaming mode on/off. The advanced settings is under the sound settings so it does not affect the display.

I spent about an hour with Verizon Tech Support. It took them a while to realize that I had the ATV version. Their conclusion was that I do not have the ability to see or change the video settings. They also said that my video settings were correct. They concluded that I did not have a problem which of course I clearly do.

I am not sure what alternatives that I have other than getting a Verizon technician to visit during a time when many football or basketball games are being broadcasted so that the can see for themselves.
