What happened to can you hear me now?

I just drove from San Antonio TX to Rapid City SD. For at least a 1/4 of the way we had no or poor signal. We were in direct sight of cell towers nearly the entire way. What happened? This is the poorest service ever!!! Verizon is the only provider in the area of my home. So for now I'm stuck. As soon as I have an option I have decided goodbye verizon!! Over rated, too expensive with poor coverage.

Not all towers are used by every carrier. What phone(s) are you using? If they are older, it's possible that network upgrades aren't compatible with your devices.
