I want my Verizon fios DVR to be always on. I can't get it out of Standby mode.

Main Menu > Settings > System > Fios TV One Mini Settings>Auto Power Off

What model of Fios box do you have?
The problem is with the main Fios One DVR (box), not the mini.

That setting should apply to both boxes if you set it from the main box.
