Question About Verizon’s Current Offer: Free Phone + $300 Gift Card for Switchers

I’m looking to open a new account and noticed this banner on the Verizon website:

"Everyone can get a free phone on us! Plus, switchers receive an additional $300 gift card. Online only. Applies in cart. Limited time offer."

Get a $300 Verizon e-Gift Card on us, when you complete the smartphone purchase from your cart. You’ll be able to redeem a $300 Verizon e-Gift Card in My Verizon or vzw.com/myverizon after placing your order. You must submit for redemption within 60 days of order. Your reward will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt and validation of claim to the submitted email address. If service is canceled or device is returned, claim will be invalid. We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon e-Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if, within 12 months, service is canceled, price plan changes from an eligible unlimited plan, or the line is connected to a device payment plan regardless of whether the new device is activated. A suspension without billing will add the time you are suspended to your 12 month chargeback window. Add’l terms apply.

I have a few questions about how this offer works:

Does this offer apply if I add new lines, port numbers from another carrier, and get a phone from Verizon on a monthly plan?
What happens if I buy a phone directly from Apple’s website and select Verizon’s monthly plan? Would I still qualify for the gift card?
Is the $300 gift card offer per line added? For example, if I transfer 4 lines, can I claim a $300 rebate for each line?
Do I need to see the $300 offer applied in the cart before placing my order, or can I submit for the rebate later on the rebate page? When I tried ordering, I only see a popup to apply $200 gift card randomly and not always, but not the $300 offer that I see on the home page banner.

This offer applies to port ins and new lines. You would have need to purchase plan and phone directly from Verizon's website it was an online exclusive. Also, Its one gift card per account and because its a rebate offer you will be able to redeem gift card up to 60 days after activation.

Also, after checking it seems like this offer has expired.

I placed my order on the Verizon website with the help of a chat representative who said was going to help me so I would get the gift card, but so far no one has been able to confirm wether the promo was added or not. Very frustrating!

hi i was told the same thing i cant find it anywhere in my account activity they never asked me for my information from where i was switching from and then to boot i ordered an iphone 16 and ups says they delieverd it but i never recieved it and so verizon wont replace it

I also purchased a new phone on 12/29/2024. The order status shows cancelled, but the order actually did go through and I have a new line and phone with Verizon. How can I apply for the gift card?

I also am having this issue. I have a screenshot of the promo from the online cart and a screenshot of my chat representative confirming that I am eligible for it. My purchase date was 11/27/2024. I do not have an email with the promo code, nor is it anywhere on my receipt that I can find.

2	Enter the purchase date and promo code 300CARTOFFER24.
3	Enter the appropriate information.
4	Submit the offer redemption within 60 days of activation.

Can i get some help with this also. I'm looking to send in my receipts etc with my online purchase that I made on Dec 23rd. 2024. It was able to be found in my account but now I can't find the redemption area I know it says it takes 8 weeks to wait in mail but why not it go through the app for online usage. I purchased 3 port ins and new lines and phones directly from the website on 12/26/2024 and am still with in the 60 days window listed on the offer description that was given to me the day I made the purchase. I found the offer code on these community boards and submitted my request a couple weeks ago, but just got a notification that there was a problem listed as an invalid submission. What do I need to do to get the deal that was offered to me? I took a screen shot of the offer while I was making the purchase and even asked in the chat window to confirm that this sort of "fake out" offer run around wouldnt happen to me. as I have heard about this sort of thing happening alot. I’ve been waiting for 2 months. They keep telling me it’s processed and look for an email. I get the email and the date passes when I should expect my card. Then I chat and they say it was the wrong offer so they reprocess it and now I’m waiting for another email that I still haven’t received.

I have the same issue! I switched from AT&T on December 28th and qualified for this $300 promotion. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with Verizon trying to get this and other issues sorted out to no prevail. I also ordered 2 lines and 2 phones. 1 of them was never shipped however the line and phone number was generated and I was charged for it on my bill. Their customer service does absolutely nothing but “submit tickets” and the tickets never get processed. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with them and nothing has happened to resolve the erroneous charges on my bill.

Yes, at least when I signed up via chat, the woman said it was included in my order and said I would receive directions on how to redeem it in two months which is about how long it has been.

Can you please help me too. I opened up an account in early December of 2024 and was notified at checkout that I would receive a $300 Verizon e-gift card by email if I made the purchase, also was stated it was included with the device promotions for four new phones that we purchased. 3 lines were ported in and 1 new line was added. I switched to Verizon, took the offer to get new phone as well, because of the $300 rebate. A week ago I was notified that there was an issue with submission form. In the past week I have been looped to customer service FIVE TIMES, having the same convo again and again despite "notes" from each previous chat. I have been assured FIVE TIMES that everything is being taken care of, and yet each time I get a message saying there's an issue with the ticket and I get looped right back to chatting about it. This is not acceptable. Shame on Verizon. The rebate offer was what lured me into switching and now I am being screwed over because not one customer service rep was able to break the loop.

Now I was given number to rebate department which doesn't work. Terrible.

I ordered 3 new lines and phones on 11/27/24 and was told I would receive $200 gift card per line ($600 total) via email. I have called several times since, after which I was apologized to and told I would receive an email with the gift cards within 3-5 business days. Still no email and we are past mid-May. I called again today and have not gotten any new information but today's call was 'escalated to the promotion team'. This is a lot of money and I thought Verizon would do better than this.

Hi there, I've had this problem as well and this is now the second time I've had to come here to the community for help, I'm thankful that y'all are around! I just got a $300 gift card offer when starting up a new line of service, this time I did get the text message, and it even shows in my account settings... but when I click on it to redeem.. I get the message in the image below. D'oh!!! Please help..
