How do I seperate the 2 Wi-Fi bands on my new Verizon router? My 2.4G cameras won't hook up.

Per my discussion with my security camera company "Defender". They are saying to have the (2) sources of Wi-Fi separated. How do I do this? They currently "both" enabled.
