Visa rewards dollars not showing on My Verizon account to redeem

I've got Verizon Visa rewards dollars showing on my Visa account. When I go to redeem them on my Verizon account, it shows a zero balance.

Any advice on how to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated. Synchrony tells me it's a Verizon problem. Verizon tells me it's a Synchrony problem. It hasn't been a good customer service experience so far.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble redeeming your Verizon Dollars, xraygrrl. Verizon Dollars can take 1-2 bill cycles to be available to redeem. Just to confirm, have you ever been able to redeem your Verizon Dollars before?

Hello! Thank you for the quick response. Yes, years ago I had been able to redeem my rewards. We temporarily switched cell providers. We came back to Verizon after maybe a month. Since then my Verizon dollars keep building up on my Verizon Visa account but don't show in my Verizon account to redeem.
