Reaching out here because I'm at my wits' end and multiple calls to tech support have been unhelpful and beyond frustrating.
We currently have 3 lines and 3 phones.
My wife uses a Pixel 6 and Line 2 for work. Samsung Galaxy S10 and Line 3 for Personal.
She uses Google messages for RCS chats on both phones + lines.
Last week we called Verizon and asked to move Line 2 to Phone 1 since it's dual-sim capable. They created an e-sim which I successfully applied to the Pixel.
Not long after, we realized that group chats were not properly coming through. Others in the chat weren't getting messages and she wouldn't get messages either. When looking in Settings, Google messages was only giving the option of RCS chat using Line 2 (work number) and no option for the Personal number.
Over the course of several days we called Verizon tech support multiple times for help and they were nothing short of useless. Often telling us we will get a call back in 24-48 hours and a support ticket was made. On the 4th try a rep said no support ticket was ever made.
Eventually we ended up calling Verizon to move it back to the way it was before: Line 2 with the Pixel, and Line 3 with the Samsung.
The problem unfortunately persists, and now RCS chat isn't working on the Samsung (and it used to before) and group chats are not coming through where everyone can see. Multiple calls to Verizon again are useless and we're being told "the engineers are working on it."
Any thoughts? I would have thought going back to the old setup would re-enable RCS and her group chats. not having this work properly is a major issue for her and what's worse is Tech support's inability to diagnose or solve the problem. We must have spoken with 10 different techs now and spent about 5 hours on this. I've been a customer for 22 years and this experience is seriously making me consider leaving. Verizon customer service and technical support used to be a cut above the rest.
