I bought an iPhone 14 from marketplace where the seller listed as unlocked. after getting the phone and setting it up it showed sim locked. They say it is Verizon and that they closed their Verizon account. If it is locked because of a balance is it possible for me to get it unlocked if I pay the balance? They are unwilling to work with me and say that every time they call support they will not let her get it unlocked and that there was no balance. I called support and they told me all she needed to do was call them and get the unlock checkbox set on the account even if it was closed.
Are there any options like bringing the physical device to a corporate Verizon store and showing them the marketplace conversations and listing to prove i paid for the device and am the new owner, etc.?
