I just signed up for new contract, upgraded to 1 gig internet from 100 mbit, and removed HBO from my Fios TV. Im thinking that we watch mostly streaming at thei point, so Id like to get rid of the preferred plan and go to a local plan. Curious to see what I'd be losing, I looked at the channel line up tool on the Verizon website, which leads me to this conversation. Where the agent cant help me, cant answer my questions, and is trying to upsell me into spending $100 more a month.
Maybe its becuase im in a grandfathered plan? I'm not sure. There was no mention of anything like this when I upgraded my plan one month ago. Certainly Verizon was not forthcoming with any type of explanation.
