Upgrading BB

Hello,
I currently have a Blackberry Curve 8530 with the 150 mb data plan.

I am looking to upgrade to a new BB as i qualified for an upgrade this month.

Is it required that I switch to the $29.99 unlimited data plan??
Can i still upgrade my phone and keep my 150 mb data plan??

You should be able to keep your plan, especially if you're upgrading to another BlackBerry. Nothing on your account should have to change. Which device are you upgrading to? New BlackBerrys should be released in the next few months.

I am looking into upgrading to the Blackberry Bold9650.

I tried doing it last night but it does not give me the option of keeping my current data plan.

I have to choose the $29.99 unlmited plan :-/

Maybe by going to a Verizon Store it can be done?

Also, if you said new blackberry's will be coming out soon, i think i will just keep waiting :smileyhappy:

That makes sense. It won't give you the $15 option online because it's discontinued. I would call customer service to order or order in store, making it clear you want to keep your plan. The Bold is a nice choice. Re: waiting, rumored devices for 2011 are a Bold Touch, a Storm 3, and a couple of Curves. Personally, I am waiting for the Bold Touch, but I don't think we'll see it until summer.
