I switched to Verizon from our previous carrier on 12/21/24. During the process (which was done online with the help of an agent on chat) I was told that I would be getting a $200 gift card per line for switching my service to Verizon. Which I part of the reason I chose Verizon over another company. I clarified multiple times during our interaction that I would receive the gift cards and was assured multiple times I would. Well I never received an email so I reached out to customer service for help multiple times and have been told “there’s no record of that” (that I was supposed to get gift cards) anywhere. When I brought up the fact that it was posted all over the website when I switched they threw a bunch of stipulations at me. They also said they were opening a “review” and that I would receive an email 3 business days following that interaction. Which I never received. It was the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. They basically said I was lying about the gift cards and told me there was nothing they could do. I feel sick to my stomach that I am now in contract with a company that doesn’t treat their customers with respect or uphold the things their customers are promised.
