Using 3rd party wifi extender with Fios TV One Mini

Question

I have a Netgear wifi extender running  wifi network on the far end of my house. If I install a Fios Tv One Mini there can I set it up to work wirelessly ? It would be logical if I could, as no one I talked to at Verizon said I needed to have a Verizon router to run the equipment, but I figured I would ask first.

The Fios minis connect to WiFi on a hidden channel the Fios router creates. The best way to connect the mini would be to use ethernet cable from the extender to the mini. You could try cloning the hidden network, there are several people here that have been successful with that.

If you can get one of your extenders close enough to the mini, just run ethernet from the extender to the mini. A LOT more reliable and you don't have to go through hoops to get it to work.
