Verizon snuck in another increase for 2025. Automatic paperless billing discount went from $10 to $5. My bill said that my $10 discount had "no expiration" but fine print down below said there would be a change, because my older "traditional" 300 mbps plan was changing to the new 4.0 plan of 300 mbps. So verizon changed the name of the exact same plan to cost us 5 more dollars. I went on the website and converted my now $54.99 plan back to the exact same plan for $49.99 (pointless, verizon could have, and should have done that for us, but likely was hoping most people wouldn't notice the increase). I got on the phone with verizon on hold for 2 hours, but also chatted with customer service. Did backflips trying to get my $5 back, which I finally did, but not without these agents logging into my account making unauthorized changes (which I already had made), trying to explain to me why my bill had changed and that they would "fix everything". They screwed everything up. Now when I log in to verizon, I have no current service, i can't make any changes, and when ever i try to add service, the screen goes blank.
On a side note, they offer the router for free now, and offer shipping for $10, or "recommended" "pick up today" at a local store. I chose the store pickup, and at checkout was still charged $10 for shipping. That's ridiculous. Also then I was emailed that I needed to check on the status of the router and it should arrive in 3 days. what happened to local pickup TODAY? But no worries though, now when I log in, the router status is "unavailable" and I have $0.00 due and "no service". So by the next billing period I will have no service, no router, and no charge. Problem solved. How does one of the premier communications companies in the country have such a notably terrible website? Just do a quick google search, and you will see we are not alone.
How on earth do I get someone on the phone that actually understands English and gives a you know what, and can actually help?
Better yet, I will switch to spectrum. they are offering $30 for wo years and a free phone line.
