Last Wednesday we woke up to no dial tone on our landline. This usually happens when a tree or something falls on the line somewhere. I got on the Verizon service chat and they had me check a few things in my house. Everything being fine they opened a ticket for a service tech to come to the area and fix the problem. Later in the day I decided to give Verizon a call on my cell and that person said there was no outage in my area. They said that since the lines were 50 years old in my area I had to switch over to something called voice connect and made an appointment for this Saturday. To say I'm fuming is an understatement! With no warning or notice of any kind they just shut off my service and waited until I called?? I've been with Verizon since their inception from the breakup of AT&T. I've had their cell service since cell phones came out and a beeper before that. This has me looking at other options all the way around.
