Unlock Motorola Moto G Play XT2413V

Dear all, My friend bought a Motorola Moto G Play XT2413V as a gift for me. Before purchasing, he checked the IMEI to make sure it wasn't reported stolen or blacklisted. However, when I tried to use it with Claro Dominicana, I haven't been able to unlock it. I would appreciate your guidance on the process to unlock the device so I can use it with my carrier. Is there an official procedure or unlock code available?

Amazon has pretty good customer service. I'd tell your friend to ask for a refund. Even if it was a 3rd party seller using Amazon, at least your friend could then report the seller for selling a bad phone, if they refuse to do a refund.

Since you bought the phone from Amazon, the original owner of the device would have to get it unlocked with the carrier that has the phone locked.

Hi, sorry to hear you've got a locked phone. Your friend needs to return the phone and get a refund. Verizon will not unlock devices remotely, and because you are not the original owner - this would either be your friend, or maybe some other person, if your friend bought the phone as "previously owned" - only the first owner of a phone can get much help on this.
