Received email from Fios about new order for stbs and router

I received an email the other day that someone at Verizon created a new order for me that includes stbs and router I guess to replace my Legacy equipment. The order has a due date of 4/15/25 so nothing yet has been mailed out. I just want to confirm this order is for the upgrade on My legacy Motorola boxes they notified me of last year and it also raised my bill by $8 for more RSN fees. I was told the upgrade is free and no increase in pricing but seems the price is higher.

Anyone else dealing with these Legacy equipment upgrades and if so what new equipment are they mailing and how did things go?

Adapter is composite only. Component is a thing of the past for consumer video. If you NEED component there are HDMI to component adapters available.

Remember you will need an HDMI 2.0 approved converter, or an HDMI distribution amp that is compliant. If you don't the Fios box may not recognize it.

What is shipped for television service depends on which product is being subscribed to. I subscribe to the legacy television service (Fios One). The equipment is the Arris 4100 series. The main unit is a VMS4100 while the mini is an IPC4100.

As I remember it, the upgrade was uneventful...pretty much plug & play. Ditto for the router upgrade which was replacing a G1100 with a G3100. I've since added three E3200s to the mix and, except for a, early situation caused by a software update, everything has been smooth sailing.

The Legacy product they are upgrading is the Motorola (71xx/72xx) family and I'm hoping the equipment being sent is the FIOS ONE VMS4100 like you have as I've read many negative reviews about the newer FIOS+ being very slow when changing channels. Like I said the order was placed automatically by FIOS to get the hardware upgraded by 4/15 as it's being phased out so I guess just have to have fingers crossed to get the 4100 series.

Received the new equipment today and delighted to see it was the FIOS ONE vms4100 along with the ipc4100 mini boxes. I just have one question regarding the ipc4100 which have a small AV connector. Is there a Component Video (3 rca for video, 2 rca for audio) adapter for the AV connector or does it only work with a composite adapter? I've been searching google and thus far have not found any information for Component video adapter?

There is an adapter available to allow older equipment to connect to the mini STB. I'm on my smartphone, so I can't locate the page. I will be back on my computer later on today.

Thx for answering exactly what I needed as I had already priced out a HDMI to component adapter if a video cable for the ipc4100 was not available. I just have a legacy box outputting hdmi to the 4K TV and component video to a smaller tv for watching multiple sporting events.
