- 3/17/2025 opened Verizon wireless promotional unlimited account and approved for $1000 trade in any iPhone plan. I was on the phone for two hours to get $1000 and to activate my account. I was informed the phone was approved and can be pick up at location near me within 24 to 48 hours. 3/25/25, customer service confirmed there ‘s no more promotion deal and I need to upgrade my plan and pay over $500 to get iPhone 16e and not the iPhone 16 pro. I was told there was a miscommunication and the rep did not activate the order for the phone , she texted me the account number instead of the order number. Verizon can’t give me the promotional deal , it had ended. There was a miscommunication, a credit check need to perform and I can only get iPhone 16e and need to pay over $500 for the phone .
The account was approved and they will not honor the $1000 trade in plan. I want to file a complain and opt to different carrier. I am a home internet and a Verizon customer for more than ten years. So disappointed, I think the sales rep mislead me into opening an account and she made a mistake .The solution provided by Customer service is “we can assist you to transfer your account to a differ carrier”
