My wife and I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon in December 2024 because they were running a promotion offering a free iPad and Apple Watch when switching to their top plan, with the catch being a 3-year commitment. Unfortunately, this has been nothing but a headache.
My wife ordered the specific watch she wanted, but it was out of stock. Verizon initially told us it would arrive in January 2025, but it never did. After following up in February, we were told the watch was still back-ordered, and as compensation for the delay, they threw in a watch band. Then, in March, we contacted them again only to find out that the order was canceled back in January, and we would need to pay around $800 for the watch, which was supposed to be free as part of the promotion.
The lack of communication, the mix-up with the order, and the way we were treated left a really bad taste in our mouths. Verizon offered no resolution, and we were left feeling completely frustrated.
After this experience, I wouldn’t recommend Verizon to anyone. As soon as we can, we’ll be switching to another company, and we plan to take our families with us.
