I’m getting conflicting answers on this topic and need some clarity. If the account is in one person’s name, but a separate person has been added with their own separate phone line for FiOS Digital Voice, can the added person’s name show up on Caller ID? In this scenario, that’s 2 phone lines.
Depending on the answer to my previous question about whether Distinctive Ring is still available in Delaware or not, if it’s NOT available, I’m now talking about THREE separate phone lines on ONE OMT FiOS box that was installed over 10 years ago. First off, I don’t even know if that’s possible.??? Anyone know that?? But if it IS possible, can the 3rd line also have the appropriate name appear as the caller ID? I would imagine if a second line CAN, then a third line CAN, but I don’t even know if this is possible.
Thanks in advance for anyone who has any answers to this question! I have gotten a yes and I have gotten a no. The no came about when the rep told me the OMT can only handle two landlines. In that case, the additional person who wants their own landline would have to have a separate account, though, my impression was it would still be technically based on the one existing FiOS OMT box . Very confusing. I had explained I needed two phone lines myself, and other person needs just one. This is assuming now, that Distinctive Ring really does NOT work in Delaware, which is my OTHER post! (though the rep yesterday told me YES, it does work in Delaware!). Arrgh…...
