Question on flip flopping between iphone and android phones as daily use phones

So right now I have an iPhone 15 pro max as the main phone. I create watch faces for apple and android as a side job. The last time I had to switch to my android phone so I could replicate an issue that someone was having, and went back to my iPhone the next day, I had to call Verizon because it wouldn't just switch when the device was selected in my Verizon account. Not sure if this is standard iOS procedure as this is my first iOS device or if I wasn't doing something right. Does anyone else switch between iOS and Android devices and if so how is it done seamlessly?

Haven't seen this question before, but I do know if you used to have an iPhone and then go to Android, Apple will still think you have an iPhone so you have to deregister your number from iMessage, otherwise your texts don't work well. There may be other Apple related apps which you'd have to tweak settings on. It's also been reported elsewhere that moving a SIM or eSIM around doesn't work well anymore and is no longer supported by Verizon.

Thanks for the answer. I will have to call Verizon and see what options I have. I really would not want to have to call or chat with Verizon all the time to switch when I need to.

You're welcome. It sounds like you'd need to have 2 different phone numbers for the phones, if you don't want to do a constant shuffle between them.
