Hi
Apologies about all the questions but the UK seems to be a maze when it comes to cell boosters and I need some advice please. I will be using my own number and roaming when in the UK for a small extra charge as part of my package where I have to move for 6 months June till October.
I already have a booster at my US home but I have researched and it looks like my Verizon booster will not work/be legal in the UK, The area is rural and there is terrible signal outdoors and none indoors , the landlord has said I can put a booster in place (at my cost) or use wifi calling. I need my cell number working and have found a company I think is reliable to be the mobile booster installer in the UK, and seems reasonable at $2400 supply and fit,
Q if anyone has anyone better of anything I should make sure is included / permits I need to ask for before purchasing from them please let me know.
The system main expense they tell me is a "HUAPTEC" amplifier, it covers a wide range of frequencies, which they say might work in US but is made for EU/UK and the I can take it with me when I come back home and just buy the cheap cables here for my mums house, for her to use-
Q. Does any one know if this particular signal booster will work with Verizon for my mum in her place when I come home ? It has all the frequencies similar around the world but the UK company does not know for sure if it would work.
Last and very sorry for all the questions, but I spoke to the installers and they can install another brand Cel-fi which they say is definitely used across the US but they do not know if it will work if I take it back, as its set up for the UK . It's another $500 extra, They did not have a page link about the Cel-fi and just sent me a data sheet for a Cel-fi G41 ?
Q. Should I pay the extra $500 and get Cel-fi and would it work when home?
I was there for a week last month and nearly went mad as mum never uses wifi calling and could not get me on the cell , I was outside in the rain trying to get cell coverage...thank you!
and again apologies....really confused here
