Recently closed our Verizon wireless plans, but am still an active Verizon FIOS subscriber along with a Verizon Visa cardholder. Trying to redeem our Verizon Dollars towards are FIOS bill and there seems to be no way to do so now that our wireless plans are closed. A Verizon chat agent tried telling me that an active wireless and FIOS plan are required to redeem Verizon dollars towards your Verizon FIOS bill, but no where do I see that specified in the T&Cs. From the Verizon site:
- The Verizon Visa Card is designed for Verizon Fios Account Owners with at least one active Fios service or Verizon wireless customers who are Account Owners or Account Managers with up to 12 phone lines maximum (depending on plan) on their wireless account.
- If you cancel the last remaining wireless line on your Verizon Wireless Account and/or the last service on your Verizon Fios Account, as applicable, so that you no longer have either a Verizon Wireless Account or a Verizon Fios Account, your Verizon Dollars will be immediately forfeited.
- If your Verizon Wireless Account and/or Verizon Fios Account, as applicable, is canceled, so that you no longer have either a Verizon Wireless Account or a Verizon Fios Account, then your credit card account will function as a standard credit card and will not be eligible to earn any Verizon Dollars.
Again, we have an active FIOS subscription and the fact that we can't access the rewards is completely absurd.
