Verizon "Black Listed" my AT&T Iphone and made is useless.

I have owned an Iphone which was purchased from Apple new. Since new and this Iphone has been with AT&T. I am a AT&T customer for over 20 years. I have never had an account or a relationship with Verizon. My Iphone stopped working today. I called AT&T and was told that Verizon has "Black Listed" my phone because it was stolen or fruad. They told me to call Verizon which I did. I explained to the Verizon rep the situation that my phone was black listed. They said that since I don't have an account with Verizon they couldn't help me. The suggested that I call Apple. Apple couldn't help and they suggested that I call AT&T and they said call Verizon again. I have the original Apple receipt that states the phone is mine. Verizon has made the phone useless.

Yikes. I'm wondering if someone made a data entry error and accidentally put in your IMEI instead of someone else's. If Verizon is refusing to help, you may have to try filing a complaint with the FCC.

This error has been address by Verizon Executive Relations. When contacted they took the problem seriously and correct the problem promptly.
