Hello,
What is the difference between Fios One TV and Fios One TV Mini
Fios One service utilizes two different 4100 series STBs. The first STB is the VMS (or the main unit if you will). This unit is slightly larger than the mini. It contains a hard drive as well as six tuners. Two of the tuners are used by the VMS. Tuner #1 is used to provide service for the television connected to the box. Tuner #2 is used to record content on the internal hard drive. The four remaining tuners are used by any mini-STBs connected to the system. The mini-STBs are a bit smaller than the VMS. They are not designed to be used in a standalone manner due to the lack of onboard tuners. So, a customer with just one television would receive the VMS. Customers with two televisions would receive a VMS and one mini and so forth.
For subscribers with a lot of televisions...6+... a second VMS would be needed.
