EMEI Blacklist Removal

Hi,

My husband purchased a new IPhone 12 Pro on 25th July 2021 from Mobile Phones Direct in the UK. We have just tried to trade this in with Mazuma Mobile but they have quarantined the phone saying that the IMEI number is blacklisted.

When I checked with Recipero Helpdesk the report came back saying that this phone had been blocked/blacklisted by Verizon Wireless on 12th July 2021. Could you please check this and remove IMEI number

Hello there LouiseR1. We know it can be very frustrating if you have bought a phone that has been blacklisted from a third party. Since the phone was purchased from a third party, you will need to contact the seller of the phone to have it removed off the black list or to have it unlocked. Normally if the phone is blacklisted, that means that it has been reported lost or stolen. Only the person that reported it lost or stolen can have it taken off the black list.
