I have always had this problem. There's no 5G at my house but a few yards down the road, there's 5G. There's 5G another few yards going the opposite way. So why is my house and property not getting it?

I know I would share your concern if I was not getting 5G where I expected to receive it, Parasyte_Angel. The nature of the wireless signal is that there are many factors outside of our control that can impact it, especially in buildings. With that said, I wanted to make sure everything was working. Aside from no 5G service at home, what issues are you having with calls, text, and data off of Wi-Fi?

The downside of 5G is the radio waves don't travel anywhere as far as the older LTE. Low-band 5G has a distance range of just a few miles (want to say it's maybe 5-6 miles at best). From what you're describing, my guesses for why your home and property aren't receiving 5G are:
If it's any consolation, the 5G you're seeing a few yards away is probably low-band 5G, where the data speeds aren't much different than LTE. Carriers use a lot of low-band 5G to get the most coverage on their 5G maps, but the really good 5G speeds can only be had in cities, where mid- and high-band 5G can be installed. The faster the data speeds, the less distance the radio waves will travel.
