I have spent weeks and MANY hours on the phone with all tiers of tech support to get my voicemail working on a pixel 6 ans a pixel 7. I am switching later today to a different carries.
Don't know what voicemail app you're using, but Verizon-specific apps will only work on Verizon carrier variant phones, except for the My Verizon app. The *86 voicemails ought to be working, but if you brought your own phone, it could have been configured to automatically call a different number to access plain voicemail. I had this issue occur when I briefly switched carriers. It's a matter of going into your basic voicemail and having it call *86 instead some other number. Another thing which can be causing problems is if your inbox is full. Deleting old messages which you no longer need can fix the problem of not getting voicemails.
