My story is kind of long so bear with me here. A couple months ago I switched from being a long time Verizon prepaid customer to a post paid customer. Partially to take advantage of phone upgrades a Verizon store rep told me I would be eligible for. I put all of our lines on the "unlimited welcome" plan and was told after 60 days all of our lines would be eligible for a $1000 trade in credit. I checked my account online and sure enough that is what it was showing.
Fast forward a month later. I checked again and it showed only a $600 upgrade credit and said I would have to upgrade my plans. So I called and spoke to a rep in the loyalty department who assured me I would receive the deal I was originally promised after the 60 day period was over. She even put notes on my account.
Last Friday I was past the 60 day mark so I called the loyalty team back to confirm everything . After about an hour on the phone the rep assured me my order was processed and ready to pickup at the store. So I drove an hour to the store and waited about a half hour for a store rep to tell me they didn't see the order and they couldn't do anything for me.
So I called the loyalty team back. Spent over an hour on the phone only to be told my order was not placed and I have a credit limit that requires me to make a $500 down payment. The rep spent more time trying to find a work around for this and couldn't so he ended up transferring me to a credit department supervisor who hung up on me. By this point I had already spent 4 hours dealing with this and drove an hour for nothing.
So I called the loyalty team again. This time the rep apologized for the inconvenience and assured me since I was a long time customer she would take care of it. After trying a few things unsuccessfully she said she would submit a request to the "validation" department to have the credit limit waived and I should hear back within 7 days. She did give me her personal info so I can get a hold of her personally if I need to. She sounded confident that the credit limit would be waived.
Is there any hope this will work out or am I wasting my time here? If it doesn't work out I'm probably gonna take my lines to a different company that won't give me the run around.
