There have been persistent, ongoing network outages in ZIP code 78747 for over 2 months now from what I've been seeing in the network status link. It was also happening where I work, which is a different ZIP code, but that got resolved in a network upgrade. The Check Network Status link even shows "5G service may be limited in this area" as of the writing of this post, and my phone indeed does not have 5G service at the moment. If I go just 1 or 2 miles in any direction, my 5G comes back.
I tried live chat, and the rep who answered said all the cell sites around me are 4G LTE only! (Well, yes, the network status link is reporting limited 5G...) Considering this area usually has 5G UW and I had 5G at home before all these outages started, I find it rather implausible Verizon just wants to have a "hole" in the coverage map, especially since there's a corporate Verizon store just 0.5 mile away. Does anyone here have better information?
