Bit of a long story so let me cut straight to the facts.
Moved into a house- ordered Fios internet. Was told a router would be shipped out on a Sunday and arrive NLT Monday.
Once I arrived at the house, for reasons that would fill a book, I moved my family elsewhere out of concern for everyone's safety and health.
Once established in a NEW place, I called the recommended Verizon Fios and Wireless specialist who got us internet within 24 hrs. This individual was excellent and told us our old service order (at the OLD house) never actually went through- they then cancelled it.
A week later, I find a Verizon pkg containing a router at the OLD house in addition to an email hitting me for 74.99. (The order, in fact, did not take 24 hours like previously mentioned). I called the aforementioned specialist who advised me to call a number and tell them I need to return said router.
Spent two hours on the phone today trying to get this sorted. So far- it is NOT sorted. The first hour, I was told in order to keep my payment at 74.99 and not the higher number (due to discounts), they would need to initiate a transfer of service. I was advised to unplug my OLD perfectly good router and plug in the "NEW" router (that arrived to the OLD house). I asked if there was ANYTHING else that I needed to accomplish and was told nope- it takes three hours but "I promise you'll be good to go". Three hours later, nada. So I spent another hour on the phone with a different specialist- great individual as well, albeit took a while to explain the situation. They were baffled that I had to swap routers, so after 20-25' they advised I swap routers back- I now have internet again.
I'd say I'm done but I'm not. I now have THREE Verizon accounts with only ONE of them linked to a service. I have one account number located, but cannot locate the others as none of my other two accounts will let me link my service...thus I can't locate my account number...thus I can't pay the bill(s)... All I want is ONE account, ONE bill (with my discounts), and ONE router. What was supposed to be an easy and seamless process has turned into a nightmare that has effectively wasted not only my time but the time of the three individuals that have been assisting me.
