I received notification that my loyalty discount is expiring. I have been with Verizon for 10+ years. This is ridiculous. Has anyone else experienced this?
We can absolutely appreciate wanting to keep your cost down and make sure you are getting the best deal. With the loyalty discounts going away, we can always review your plan together and see if there is a better fit that may help keep cost similar to what you have now with our new plans. Take a look at our current plans and pricing and if you have any questions, send us a private note and we would love to help.

It is my understanding that as of 9/1/25, my $25.00 loyalty discount is ending. I have been a loyal customer for over 9 years and when I upgraded my service last year I was told that my monthly bill would remain the same for 5 years. How can I retain this discount?
SHARMIK372, we're here to help and provide you with clarification. Let me send you a private message to continue providing you support with questions about your loyalty discount.

Jmp828, we want to thank you for your loyalty. Please keep in mind that some of our promotions are valid only for a certain period of time.

There have been a number of threads appearing recently on this topic. IMO that's sad, but it is a business decision which I have no control over. There are other discounts available, depending on your situation. Are you getting the autopay discount? Certain occupations are also eligible for discounts, but discounts and promotions can't be stacked, so be careful.
Does anyone know if the loyalty discounts can be retained in someway or are they going away for everyone?
I've been a customer for over 10 years and this is the final straw. I've seen the rewards go away, the promo offers get worse, new taxes and fees get added, and with this, im done.
If there's no way to retain this discount then as soon as my final device payment is made I'm switching and I suggest others do the same. If I can get a promo offer to switch to another company and have those costs covered for me I'll do it even sooner.
$25 a month discount will cost Verizon a 10+ year customer.
Hi Meg,
Thanks for the reply, but I'm very aware of the plans that are available and how they aresignificantly worse than the plan I currently have. If thats the only solution that can be offered then you have just confirmed that Verizon no longer wants my business and I will be cancelling all lines as soon as is feasible.
I recognize that you are just doing your job so I do not intend for this to come across as angry with you. I do want it noted for whatever kind of metrics the executives are using that this is at least one 10 year customer they are losing due to their greed.
I agree. I also have been a 10 + years customer. I have tolerated my bill ever increasing. I cannot afford anymore in creases for 1 line. I am looking to change after my phone payoff as well
We would like to address your concerns and will be sending a private message so be on the look out.

There were never any private messages sent. Its been nearly a week and at this point that no longer surprises me. Its very clear that Verizon no longer values its customers in any way.
Hello,
I’m posting here because I’ve tried to resolve this issue directly with Verizon, but the experience has been very frustrating.
When I called Verizon support, I was told the offer “isn’t available.” I showed them the promotional email and asked them to check my prior bill, which clearly reflected the $20 discount. Instead of helping me, the rep disconnected the call after I said I would file a formal complaint.
This feels like a bait-and-switch: Verizon offered a loyalty discount for a year, applied it once, then cut it in half after just one month.
I’m considering filing complaints with the FCC, the Attorney General’s office, and even bringing this to local news outlets, because I believe other customers may be affected by the same practice.
All I’m asking is for Verizon to honor its written promise of $20 off per line for 12 months and to credit the difference for the month(s) I was shorted.
Can someone from Verizon please step in and fix this?
Thank you,
We never want you to feel this way and want to ensure your discount offer is looked into, Gettheballrolling. We'd like to apologize that your call was disconnected and would like to take a closer look into this offer with you. We have sent you a Private Message to get started.

While thanking me for years of loyalty, my loyalty discount is being removed starting September 1 and the Google Play Pass is being taken away. Is that Verizon loyalty? Raise my bill and take away service?
For 1 Gig, I used to get:
-$35 for service
-$15 military
-$9.25 Lifeline
-$10.75 Verizon Forward (lost)
-$10 autopay (lost)
Bill would fluctuate every month causing me to call in to figure what my bill should be. Every agent on the other end told me something different and couldn't give me a straight answer. Time to test the waters with another company.
Been a customer for 21 years and just found out I am losing the discount. I will be changing to another carrier.
Mindy29, we'd hate for you to leave. We'd love to do an account review with you to make sure that you are on the most economical plan and are receiving all the best offers. I will be sending you a private message.

I have the same problem. Looks like my bill is going up $50. T Mobile is looking better and better. Seems like a 16 year customer would keep his discounts.
We are here to support you. Sending you a Private Note now.

I have the $20 discount for one line. How can I get it for my other three phone lines?
I have also been a long time customer for 30 yrs and I am leaving Verizon as well,I am on a fixed income and this company are thieves ( a billion dollar company).I also spend 250 per month on cable. They better call me tomorrow or iam done
We’ve been with Verizon for over 25 years, this is quite the shock, an additional $300 year while groceries and tariffs are jacking up every other cost. Very disappointed
7818887955 Thank you for being with us for over 30 years! We would be happy to look at your account to make sure you are getting most of your account and applying all the discounts that you qualify for. We will be sending you a PM to discuss this further with you. -Harry
We never want to see you go! 25 years is awesome. We have some great discounts. See them here: https://www.verizon.com/discounts/ -Joe
Yes, the loyalty discount was taken off my account this month. When I tried contacting Verizon support to explain it, I kept getting bounced to their useless automated support, which told me my bill only went up $0.69, when in fact it went up $10.69. A real slap in the face for being a customer for over a decade...
I’ve been with Verizon for 22 years and my bill just went up $26 after losing my loyalty discount. People should’ve been grandfathered in for 10 + years.
Mine expires pretty soon meaning my bill goes up $60 been with Verizon almost 4 years and I’m sick of the high costs we are gonna be paying off the phones and likely switching.
Kori2, we value your loyalty, and we know unexpected expenses can be difficult. I will send you a private message, so we can review to make sure you are receiving the best value.
Yes, just recently I had the same issue and I was not happy..It only lasted a month and so I got real mad and I called them and told them about it and I also said I was going to get another provider company and they quickly resolved it and it's much less than before!
Verizon is best for Loyalty customers. Right.
