iPhone 16 Pro Max not receiving texts in a group message with Android

I have updated my iphone, changed all my settings in messages to allow MMS, RCS, and allow to send as a text message.
I am not receiving messages in group texts that involve an android. I have tested with multiple people with androids/iphones. When I respond/send a message, the recipients are receiving the messages in two separate messages, a single message from me and in the group message. When they respond in the group message, I do not get their response. No services are blocked within my Verizon settings. How do I fix this?

I'm not sure why this happens, but this is an issue which has been reported before. My suspicion is that some Android phones do not support RCS texting and therefore must still use the older SMS/MMS technology. With newer devices using RCS and Apple also supporting RCS now, if someone tries to text in RCS to a device which can't use RCS, the text must first be "decoded" and be sent as SMS or MMS to the non-supporting device(s), while the rest of the users in a group text who can use RCS are simply getting the RCS version. Hence, multiple copies of a group text going around between a group.

I do wonder if the issue is on the receiving end of the group messages and not necessarily on your end.
